And so it begins...
I started my grad classes last week and am already dreading the homework. It isn't a lot but I have to read a book and do a report on it for one of my classes, I am already procrastinating the reading. I now truly know what my students feel like. Well so much for a day off work, I guess I should get to reading :)

New Adventures
So here is the short but sweet update on my life. I am starting grad school on Monday to get my Masters in Educational Leadership. I finally decided what I wanted to get my masters in and I am pretty excited about starting it. I don't really know what to expect but it will definitely be an adventure. I moved to down to third grade this year and am loving my class and third grade. I am excited for the rest of the year and of course just like all teachers say I can't wait for summer. I got a kindle for Christmas and am kind of obsessed :) I have been reading like crazy and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new toy. That's all for now but more updates to come soon and hopefully some pictures as well.

It's been a long time...
Wow, I have not posted in a very long time. You all can see how busy I have been. I am finished with my first year of teaching and I survived :) I am going to be teaching 3rd grade next year for those of you who did not already know that. I am just hanging out this summer and looking for fun free things to do so if anyone has any ideas feel free to send them my way. More to come later.

Back again
I am back again and having a great day, the first in a while. As many of you may or may not know my grandfather, Pop, passed away last Friday, September 24, 2010. He was an amazing husband, father and most of all grandfather. I have so many amazing memories with him and my grandmother throughout the years. I especially loved the trips my friends and I took down to their house for the weekend. Those are the times I will never forget. I loved him so, so much and will miss him very much. This next year will be a lot of changes and getting use to things without him, but of course we all know that he is always with us. He is no longer suffering and in a better place :) Other than that major event in my life school is going well and the kids are fun. They are a bit of a handful some days and some days I question why I chose this profession and then there are days that are wonderful and it is all worth it. I miss all of my UCF friends and try to get over there as much as possible. My big sister is coming into town soon and I am very excited to see her. Also I can't wait to get to see my sibby Ashley at Thanksgiving. Good things are on the way...

Tour of a 4th grade classroom
A couple weeks ago I was able to go and see my classroom at my new school. I look some pictures and a video. I am going to post the video and if you have problems viewing it I can post the pictures later. Also keep in mind all of the desks are stacked up and I have not put anything up on the walls. When I finally get in there and decorate for school to start I will post another video. I am so excited!!

Back by Popular Demand
Well i am back from a crazy month of GREAT things!! Well first off an update on my grandpa. He is at home and recovering very well. He is back to almost normal as my mom says. I am going to get to see him in a week or so when I go to Bradenton for my grandmas birthday. I haven't seen him since he was still in the hospital. Next order of business, to those who have not heard I GOT A JOB!!! I am going to be a 4th grade teacher at Sunrise Elementary School in Osceola County. Here is the link if you are interested ... http://sre.osceola.k12.fl.us/ I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I am ready to get into my classroom and start setting up. Since it is about an hour from my parents house I am moving out closer to the school with Leslie since she also got a job at a school not to far down the road from mine. We are moving on Saturday into a 2/2 and are very excited. We have been shopping for furniture and getting things together to start our new lives as big girls with big girl jobs. Our apartment looks like it could be out of the "Truman Show" or in Celebration. It is very cute and we are very excited. Here is a link to the floor plan if anyone is interested in checking it out. Also we have a nice big couch if anyone is interested in visiting we would love to have you. http://www.zrsapartments.com/thecottages/printable-floorplans.asp?id=343 More to come later and once we have moved in there will be pictures posted and possibly a virtual tour if I can figure out how to post it on here. :)
