Back again

I am back again and having a great day, the first in a while. As many of you may or may not know my grandfather, Pop, passed away last Friday, September 24, 2010. He was an amazing husband, father and most of all grandfather. I have so many amazing memories with him and my grandmother throughout the years. I especially loved the trips my friends and I took down to their house for the weekend. Those are the times I will never forget. I loved him so, so much and will miss him very much. This next year will be a lot of changes and getting use to things without him, but of course we all know that he is always with us. He is no longer suffering and in a better place :) Other than that major event in my life school is going well and the kids are fun. They are a bit of a handful some days and some days I question why I chose this profession and then there are days that are wonderful and it is all worth it. I miss all of my UCF friends and try to get over there as much as possible. My big sister is coming into town soon and I am very excited to see her. Also I can't wait to get to see my sibby Ashley at Thanksgiving. Good things are on the way...

Tour of a 4th grade classroom

A couple weeks ago I was able to go and see my classroom at my new school. I look some pictures and a video. I am going to post the video and if you have problems viewing it I can post the pictures later. Also keep in mind all of the desks are stacked up and I have not put anything up on the walls. When I finally get in there and decorate for school to start I will post another video. I am so excited!!

Monograms, I'm Obsessed

So as many of you know I am quite obsessed with my monogram. The other day I realized that me and Leslie's last names both start with "K" and we could buy things for our new apartment with "K"s on them. So today while I was wondering around waterford I found these very cute paper coasters at Stahli. I am so excited to use them in our new apartment!!

Back by Popular Demand

Well i am back from a crazy month of GREAT things!! Well first off an update on my grandpa. He is at home and recovering very well. He is back to almost normal as my mom says. I am going to get to see him in a week or so when I go to Bradenton for my grandmas birthday. I haven't seen him since he was still in the hospital. Next order of business, to those who have not heard I GOT A JOB!!! I am going to be a 4th grade teacher at Sunrise Elementary School in Osceola County. Since it is about an hour from my parents house I am moving out closer to the school with Leslie since she also got a job at a school not to far down the road from mine. We are moving on Saturday into a 2/2 and are very excited. We have been shopping for furniture and getting things together to start our new lives as big girls with big girl jobs. Our apartment looks like it could be out of the "Truman Show" or in Celebration. It is very cute and we are very excited. Here is a link to the floor plan if anyone is interested in checking it out. Father's Day

So Friday night I got a call from my mom and she informed me that my grandpa had to be admitted to the hospital. He then had a cat scan and they saw a mass on his brain which was later said to be a brain tumor. It is about the size of a golf ball and is causing his brain to swell. He is being given steroids to help shrink the tumor, I think that it is working because he is seeming more like himself. We got to Bradenton on Saturday night and are waiting to see what the MRI says in the morning to decided what the next plan of action is. I would appreciate yours prayers and thoughts for my grandpa and our family because it has already been very hard on all of us. Many of you have met my grandpa and know what an amazing man he is and I personally can not imagine my life without him which is the most scary part of the whole situation. I just wanted to let everyone know and I will text or post updates on here as we get them.

Interview...Round 1

So 1 interview down, and another lined up. Like my mom said it is either feast or famine. I had my first interview today at a school in Osceola county. The interview went well and I should hear back about that job next week sometime. While I was in this interview another school called to set up an interview for next week. Who knows what will happen but all I can do is say a little prayer.

I also went to Jax this past weekend to visit Leslie and my brother. They are both of course good and we had a great time. But now back to the real world. I start back to the foundation on Friday also. There is just so much going on down here. I am so thankful.

Another Saturday...

Last night I went to see Sex in the City 2 and it was amazing!! Some people had given me mixed opinions so I didn't know what to expect. If only we could all live like that. Today is going to be a relaxing and lazy Saturday.
Leslie is coming in town today! I am so excited for what is to come for tonight. More to come later...

Its been a long time..

I haven't posted in a long time, it has been almost a year. So here goes... So much has happened this past year. I most recently graduated from college and am looking for a teaching job. I am looking in the area along with Maryland and Texas. It is kind of a big step and I am a little scared but I think that I am ready for a change in my life.
I am so excited that it is summer time!! :) I have started working out and already feel so much better. I am excited to see what the summer has in store for all of us.
